Phuket ‘has the smarts’ for hi-tech
Digital equipment and high-speed internet spots have been set up in Phuket as part of its bid to make the island province a smart city. Phuket provincial governor Thavornwat Kongkaew called a meeting on Thurday (March, 29) attended by state agencies, the National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (Nectec) and the Office of the Digital Economy (Depa) ton assess progress. They heard about progress in the Phuket Smart City project financed by a 386-million-baht budget allocated by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society.
